Academia Barista Pro defines the Barista as that person who manages to prepare delicious coffee drinks with any equipment; professional or not. This person knows about the History of Coffee, its Processes and seeks to promote its correct preparation at any time. She has a passion for learning more about coffee and is looking for the perfect cup at all times. A Professional Barista knows about the different disciplines of coffee: Cupping, Brewing, Roasting.  

 

During our BARISTA Theme classes:  In 90% practical, the Student is introduced to the World of Coffee.  In this, they will learn the technique that will lead them to prepare consistent and delicious espressos, cappuccinos and lattes. The extensive experience of our Trainers, seeks that in 1.5 days, the Student manages step by step to easily join the professional team and to know in depth about the History of Coffee and its processes. Students should reinforce their knowledge with our ONLINE Theory system where they will find relevant information on the subject of Barista and coffee.

We have restructured our Barista Course to include flavor manipulation in an espresso. During this Course we implement technology that helps us to be consistent, we learn about how to achieve a uniform and replicable recipe. During this course extractions are measured and we teach you the importance of support with tools and accessories. The student will be able to create their own espresso recipes with the different coffees that are offered to them in class. Learn to use more sophisticated brewing equipment and dig deeper into the practice of Latte Art.

Latté Art is the discipline of pouring or drawing with milk in coffee.

 

At Academia Barista Pro you will be able to opt for a complete program of Latté Art courses, where with the directed practice of our specialized trainers, you will learn to master and achieve to prepare from basic figures, to the most composed ones. During your Latté Art classes / courses, your coach will be giving you tips at all times to improve quickly and achieve those figures that you long for. We do not recommend taking Latte Art without having previously taken Barista courses. Take into account that the preparation of this drink is the basis of your entire menu.  

There are 2 very different disciplines that you will learn about in Academia Barista Pro. The basic discipline of Drawing on coffee will be a very fun beginning, here you will learn different designs and drawing techniques using sauces, powders, milk, stencils and colors. This drawing technique is known as “Etching” and in ABP we know it as Drawing on coffee. In the Advanced Coffee Drawing course, the Student should have advanced in the subject of Latte Art, since it combines Etching drawings with the second technique, which is called Free Fall Latte Art. The Latte Art Free Fall discipline is the most prestigious  in the World of Coffee and requires the free fall of the milk into the coffee and the pulse of the hands to draw. Whoever masters it, will be able to draw incredible creations in the cafe without limits. You can achieve the Latté Art Free Fall technique by taking our program, with a lot of patience and consistency we know that you will achieve the objectives of the course.

Learn more than 20 recipes for the drinks that cannot be missing from your Menu, with the direction of an ABP trainer. Practice step by step the correct procedure for each drink, try them and adopt them all or the ones you like the most. We recommend Menu courses after Advanced Barista, but you can schedule it right after your Barista Principles class.  

Preparation of Menu with Founder:

PROGRAMS FROM 5 DAYS

Start learning from the basic level and continue to our more advanced courses in a program that you can take continuously or slowly, according to your itinerary and budget.  

For bigger and better results, our most comprehensive programs start from 7 days and go up to 27 days. You can choose an already established program or build your own, the decision to take 1 or several topics, will help you become knowledgeable in a short time.  

Choose courses in Barista, Menu, Latte Art, Roasting, Brewing, Tasting, Crepes, Consulting, among others.  

Our programs begin with the Barista Principles course, recommended even if the person has experience.  

Include the number of courses you want. Remember that you can schedule them from Monday to Saturday in our class schedules.  

DISCOUNTED PROGRAMS : All our programs of 5 days or more have a discount and if they are $ 200PLUS, you can opt for Zero Rate Financing with BAC cards for 3 or 6 months.

COFFEE COMPETITION TRAINING | COFFEE COMPETITION

These trainings are scheduled on a calendar just like courses and are quoted directly with the Founders of ABP.  

We recommend a minimum of 2 week workouts for best results.

COFFEE COMPETITION PROGRAM

Over the years we have helped many students meet their goals and reach very high in National and International Competitions. These trainings are carried out exclusively with the Founders of Academia Barista Pro and are priced according to each person. It is important to mention that there are many people who do not like to compete, there are others who love it. If you would like to compete in a National or International one, quote your training with Academia Barista Pro.  

Dive into the World of Competition with these 2 Introductory courses.  Part of the job of a Professional Barista is knowing how to evaluate your work. During espresso tasting we give you the parameters that are used in competition to evaluate in depth the Espresso in taste and visual.  

In the cappuccino tasting we seek to evaluate flavor and visual, trying to see how the evaluative scale of this drink would be.
